AIRPORT DELIVERY
Airport Delivery / Pick-up: Fees and Conditions
Fee includes both delivery & pick-up, based on the MEET times for the airport - not flight arrival & departure times:

Normal Delivery Hours:

$40 fee for delivery and/or pick-up 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Outside Normal Hours:
-
$50 fee for delivery and/or pick-up 7:00 am – 8:00 am / 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

$60 fee for delivery and/or pick-up 6:00 am – 7:00 am / 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
-
$10 per hr additional fee - extended delivery and/or pick-up times outside delivery hours

* Airport delivery and pick up times require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Requests within the 24-hour period are subject to an additional $25 fee. We will always do our best to accommodate!!
How it Works: Curbside Delivery & Pick-up
Curbside Delivery @ Arrival

Baby’s Away driver will text Customer when arriving at the airport & will wait in the cell phone waiting area until Customer has texted they are curbside, outside Baggage Claim.

Customer is to text when they arrive outside Baggage Claim (before collecting bags).

Baby’s Away driver will pull curbside, outside Baggage Claim, for Customer to collect their rental equipment.
Baby’s Away is NOT allowed to install car seats, we will email you the manual prior to your arrival
Curbside Pick-up @ Departure

Baby’s Away driver will text when arriving at the airport & will wait in the cell phone waiting area until Customer has texted they are ready for the gear to be picked up at the Passenger Drop-Off area.

Customer is to text when approaching the Passenger Drop-Off area.

Customer is to text when the rental gear is out & ready for pick-up.

Baby’s Away driver will pull up to Customer vehicle (or curbside) to collect the rental gear.
Communication

Baby’s Away will need all flight arrival & departure information (airline, flight #, flight time) when order is placed

Baby’s Away will email guest the day prior to arrival to verify customer itinerary is the same & will text from our app number to provide details again of our airport delivery protocols

Airport Day-of-Arrival Communication: extremely important for a smooth airport meet that all of these guidelines are followed please:

Text right before departing for Charleston to let us know you're on time & on the way.

Text when your plane is landing in Charleston, AS SOON as you have service back. * We estimate it takes about 25 minutes for you to deplane and get to baggage claim. *

Text us who is coming out & what they’re wearing - so we know who to look for.

We meet PRIOR to you getting your luggage & PRIOR to you getting your car rental or Uber/Lyft meet.

Text when that person is outside baggage claim, the driver will be waiting 2 minutes away in the cell phone lot – easiest place to meet is by hanging handicap sign, which is to your left as you come out of the baggage claim door

Once we receive your final text saying you are curbside, someone will be right there with your rental equipment.
Airport Day-Before-Departure Communication: Baby’s Away will text guest to confirm scheduled meeting time for return of equipment

Airport Day-of-Departure Communication: extremely important for a smooth airport meet that all of these guidelines are followed please:

Baby’s Away will text 1 hour prior to scheduled meet time to verify that is still Customer eta *Customer is to message Baby’s Away as soon as possible if there is ANY change in timing more than 5-10 minutes.

Customer will text when departing for the airport to confirm ETA

Customer will text when ready for driver (who will be waiting in the cell phone waiting area) to meet them curbside.
REMINDER:
It is the CUSTOMER’S responsibility to notify Baby’s Away of any changes, delays, etc. regarding scheduled delivery & pick up times. * An Additional $25 fee will apply if customer fails to notify Baby’s Away of any delay within 2 hours of scheduled delivery or pickup time - communication is key for us all!
Baby’s Away driver will also monitor flight status via a mobile app on arrival date & departure date, but the driver is also driving. Along with Customer assistance providing any flight information you receive that may affect the scheduled delivery / pick-up meeting time, the airport process is easy.
